INDRANI, LEFT NEW : YORK. A cable from Now Tqrk states that the A. and A. liner Indrani has sailed for Australian and New Zealand ports. The local agents anticipate that she will reach Wellington towards the end of July.
MOANA A DAY EARLY. On account of the probable holiday on Friday, May\ 20, the Union Company's Moana will reach Wellington from Melbourne, via Ilobart and southern ports on Thursday, May 19-one day early. She will thus be enabled to handle cargo on Thursday, but she will not sail for Sydney until Friday afternoon.
HAKDWOOD FOB WELLINGTON. '.Messrs. Richardson, Blair, and M'Cabe, Ltd., have received a cable from Sydney, stating that the sailing vessel Daniel sailed from the Northern Kivers on Monday, and the Maroro on Tuesday, each having full cargoes of ironbark for Mr. Maurice o'C6nnor, contractor for the Miramar wharf extension. '
TAKEN BY THE EVANDALE. A summary of cargo taken from New Zealand ports for London by the Scales chartered steamer Evandale is as follows:— From Timaru—49s bales wool, 23,068 sacks grain. From Lyttelton-382 bales wool, 18,532 sacks grain. From Patea—2' bales wool. From Wanganui—23 bales wool. From Blenheim—s6s bales wool, Z bales sheepskins. From Wellington—474 bales and 2 fadges wool.
INDEALEHA, FROM NEW YORK. Messrs. W. M. Bannatyne and Co. advise that the Tyser liner Indralema, from New York, should reach Wellington on Monday next. She has 1344 tons of cargo to laud at Wellington.
THE MOKOIA. Early this morning tho Onion Company's Mokoia is expected to put in an appear-, anco from Papeete and Rarotonga. After discharging hor cargo she will leave this evening for Dunedin direct. Next . week slie is to lnako a trip from Dunedin to Auckland in the East Coast running, while the Monowai withdraws for overhaul. On tho southward run the Mokoia will only come as far as Wellington, arriving hero on May 27, and leaving tho same evening for Karotonga and Papeete. She is also fixed to sail from Wellington for Rarotonga ,and Papeete on July 7.
BARQUE IN STORMY WEATHER. Tho barque Louisa Craig encountered stormy weather from the time she left Newcastle, 23 days ago, until she arrived at Auckland on Tuesday last. Tremendous seas washed over the vessel and wrought much damage. Foresails wore torn into ribbons, and tho side-light screens were carried overboard, while tho lifeboat was much damaged. The vessel was off Cape Brett last week, almost in sight of port, but was carried out seawards by adverse gales, nnd did not regain the land again until yesterday. "I reckon," said an ofllcer of the vessel to an Auckland reporter, "that wo sailed four times tho distance from Newcastlo to Auckland."

From tho above dato there will be shown on Allilin Point, Island of Koro, in latitutc 17deg. 23*min. south, longitude 179deg. 23min. east, an all round flashing white light showing a double Hash overv ton seconds, being a Chance Brothers' fourth order dioptric doubleHash, revolving light. Opens clear of Bluff Point south of Koro, south 64dcg. west, and clear of north-west point of Koro, south 18dcg. west. When south of north-west point. light visible right down west coast line of Koro. Tho structure on which the now light is placed is a white concrete tower, sixty (60) fcot liish. tho focal piano of tho light
being one hnndred and ninety-four (194) feet above high-water mark. The light is visible in clear weather from a-ship's deck 17 miles. Bearinga magnetic.
THE KAIPAEA. Yesterday the New Zealand, Shipping Company's Kaipara arrived in Wellington from Auckland and Waitara. This ie her first appearance here since she struck a shoal in Kangitoto Ohannel in January la-st. There are atill some 30 carpenters at work on the vessel, and it is not expected that repairs will be completed for a few days yet. The insulation in No. 3 hold has already been restored, so that frozen meat can be shipped. The wholo cost of restoring tho Kaipara to her original state has proved to be one of the biggest engineering feats ever > accomplished in Now Zealand, and, tho cost thereof is estimated at- £30,000. When, however, the loss of freight, wages, and earning power of the ship are added tho figur.es assume much larger proportions. It is reported that the impending lawsuit between the Now Zealand Shipping Company and the Auckland Harbour Board may be settled' privately between the parties.
A special trip from Wellington to Motuoka is to be made by tho Huia, sailing this afternoon.
A report of the voyage of the Aparima, which arrived at Auckland from Calcutta, Singapore, and Samarang, on Tnesday, shows that- fine weather prevailed until April 30, ■' or' S3 days out from Calcutta,, thonco fresh strong S.E. winds, with mode : rate to heavy S.E. and E. swell to arrival. The Aparima sails from Auckland to-mor-row, for Wellington, Lyttelton, and. Duncdin to complete tho discharge.
Captain Murrison Jβ still in command of the Drayton Grange, which arrived at Auckland from Liverpool last Monday. He has associated with him tho following ofil-cors:-Chief, Mr. J. Bluitt; second, Mr. M. Morris; third. Mr. J. Punett; fourth, Mr. Adams. Mr. J. Liddlo is the chief engineer, Mr. E. Lewis second, Mr. Pullen third, Mr.. Gallaway fourth, Mr. Parry fifth, and Mr. Richardson sixth. Mr. Allchin is the chief refrigerating engineer and Mr. J. M'lntyre second. Mr. M'Dermott is the ship's surgeon and Mr. V. A. Cooper is the chief steward.
The Union Company's Wanaka has been fixed to load at Timaru on May-18, Oamaru May-19, Bluff May 20, for.Napier, Gisbornc, and Auckland.
Cargo shipped at Gisborae for London by the Tyser llnor Whakarua comprised:— 53 casks casings, 418 bales wool, 4 bales sheepskins, 31 casks pelts, 281 casks tallow, 47 cases preserved , meats, 11,847 carcasses mutton, 1746 carcasses lamb, and 740 Quarters beef. .
Tho -Whakarua's total load for London included no fewer than 99,054 carcasses frozen sheep, 3329 quarters beef, 24,832 legß mutton, 333 pieces mutton, 500 carcasses frozen pigs, also 'a • quantity -of frozen kidneys, wool, and general merchandise.
On.Saturday next the Maori goes into dock at Lyttelton for cleaning and painting. Her time-table will not be interfered with, , as she will leav.c Lyttclton for Wellington at the usual hour.
Owing to heavy weather in Cook Strait, the Manaroa did not arrive from Motueka until 5 p.m. yesterday, and in consequence will not leave for Havelock till this afternoon.
Advice has bcon received by tho Maoriland Steamship Company statins that the Ennerdale has left Kaipara for Ureyipouth, to complete loading for Sydney.
