VETO PROPOSALS.
IRISH NATIONALISTS OPPOSE DELAY. MINISTERS REAPPOINTED. _ London, May 10. Parliament will meet to-morrow, when tributes to the memory of the late King will be paid, and addressc-s of condolence with tie Royal Family on their loss, and of congratulation on the accession of King George V, will bo adopted. It is understood a vote on account for a further term of weeks will bo passed, and Parliament will then adjourn until the middle of June. ' The Nationalists still hold that the veto resolutions should be proceeded with in the House of Lords without unnecessary delay.. '■ On his voyago home from Gibraltar, the Prime Minister, Mr. Asquith, by wireless telegraphy, transacted business connected with the death of King Edward. On arriving in London. Mr. Asquith saw King George, at Marlborough House, and afterwards attended a Privy Council meeting, at which tho Ministers handed in their portfolios. These were returned, thus, confirming them in their offices. : AN AETIST ON THE FEATURES OF THE DEAD KING. (Eec. May 12, 0.10 a.m.) ' May 11. According to the "Daily Telegraph,", Sir Luke Fildes, the artist who sketched the dead' King, describes King Edward's features as suggesting the majesty of kingship or a beautiful kingliness, arid yet the face is so transfigured that there is no earthliness about him. Every vestige of tiredness and weariness is. gone from the features, which strongly sug : gest a likeness to those of his father, the .Prince Consort. ■
