LODGE MEETINGS.

Tho Phoenix lodge of Good Templars held their weekly session on Monday evening, in the W.C.T.U. Hall, Lower Hutt, Brq. Ycrcoe presiding. After tlio uaual business had been carried through, receptions were tendered to the Hope ot Petono, also the District Chief Templar, District Secretary, and District Electoral Superintendent, who paid a surprise visit. The remainder of the eveuing was taken up with songs and addresses. Bro. Jordan, D.E.S., gave an invigorating address on tho duties of Good Templars wiUt reference to I heir responsibilities at clec(ions. Bro. K. Reid, district secretary, spoke on tlie benefits derived from advancing oneself in the noble cause which Good Templiiry set forth, and urged upon all members to tako further degrees. Pioneer Lodge No. 11, 1.0. G.T., held its weakly session in tho Rechabite Hall, Ma'uners Street, oil Monday evening, Bro. H. J. Millan, C.T., presided over a fair attendance of members and friends. As a mark of respect to the memory of King Edward VII,' the lodge was. closed as soon as routine business iiad been disposed of.
