KARORI METHODISt CHURCH.
The members of the Ladies' Guild of the Karori Methodist Church entertained the Rev, ,T. R. Clark nud Miss.Clark at the .church. last .evening, the function being a most successful and enjoyable one. Mr. \Y: E. Redstone, senior steward of the Taranaki Street Circuit presided, and in the course of his remarks referred to the good work which had been- done ; by Mr. Clark. Messrs. J. G. Raine and G. Tiller also added their testimony, and Mr. Clark suitably responded.
During tho evening, Mrs. A. W. Inn is', secretary of the ladies'' Guild, read the ;report, of the working of the. guild. . Itwas reported that the church had benefited to the extent of £GS as the result of the sale of work and industrial exhibition which had recently been held un(lcv tlie auspices of the guild. It was also stated that the building of the new church was uow well in sight. A sum of £200 had been given to the funds under tho will of a recently-deceased member, a further sum of .C4OO had been granted conditionally from tho Church Extension Fund, and it was also hoped to; obtain an additional sum of .£250 from 'the Church Building and Loan Fund. I During the evening musical and other items were contributed by Miss Pierard, and Messrs. M'lntyre, Blight, and l>. Clark. Supper was served at tho close of the proceedings.
