MR. VAILE'S DATES.

For instance, in tho first column and the fourth of returns. 18D2, I believe, was tho year Mr. Ballance died. Yet in the column given to tho names of Premiers who presented rer turns to Parliament during the years 1892, 1893, and 1894, Mr. Ballance's name is listed as the then Premier. In 1893 a general election was held, and the lnte Mi. Seddon became Premier (after the death of Mr. John Ballance)!' Mr. S. Vaile forgets lots of things that we youiigcr people remember.—l am, etc., IfEMORV. April, 5, 1910.. ["John Ballance died April. 27, 1893, not 1892.1
