The new Sports Club is holding a goncral meeting of members to-night at 8 o'clock at Messrs. Gualter, Dykes, and Company's buildings, Featherston Street. It has already boon suggested to increaso tho club's holding by somo thirty acres, in order to eventually provide 18-holo golf links. Intending mombors aro invited by advertisement to bo present. ceived intimation from tho Now Zealand Association that this year's championships will be held at Palmorston North, probably during July. He has, also received word. that Dr. J. \V.. O'Brien, of Palmorston, has been elccted president of the New Zealand lioxing Association for tho current year. This (writes our Palinerston correspondent) is a well-earned compliment for our popular medico, who takes tho keenest interest in sport of all kinds. OTAGO TOURNAMENT.
