The barometer has fallen everywhere, and especially north of East Cape and Kawliia, where heavy rain and easterly gules have been experienced. Wet and gloomy weather. haß also been reported in many other parts, with variablo winds. Present indications aro for a further fall in the barometer everywhere, with rain in most parts of the country, and especially on tho caat coast. Stronp easterly winds are probable in the north, and south-easterly elsewhere, but freshening northcrlies may be expected shortly in the south for a westerly area of low pressure due on Wednesday. •" D.
