MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
' (Beforo Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M.) Robert Pobar appeared on a charge of disobeying an order for -tho maintenance of his mother, the arrears undor the order being £14 ss. on March 28. On the application of Mr. O'Lcary, who apponred for accused, a remand to May. 12 was granted to give accused nn opportunity of paying off some of thp arrears. Robert Henderson, and James Jennings, alias Charles Smith, alias Riloyj were both convicted aud fined- 10s., with tho alternative of 48 hours' imprisonment, for insobriety.
