DAMAGE BY FIRE.
(By Telegraph— Press Association.) Napier, May 7. The- seven-roomed residence of Kuropo Tareha, at Waiohiki, was, totally destroyed by fire.early this morning. Very little of the contents was savqd. Insurances—House, £400; furniture, £245; all in the Commercial Union office. Palmerston North, May ". Information lias' been received in town of the total destruction of the Bunnythorpe Hotel and portion of Roe's store, opposite, at an early hour-this morning. The hotel, together with all the contents, was totally but Hoe's store, though tho face of if.-ran burnt, was saved by the ciiosia : c a bucket brigade. The stock \7--s damaged, partly by water and'tarried removal. The insurances, are not yet known. ' ' ■ ■ ,
