RECORD FOR AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, May 6. At no tim 6 in the history of Australasia has thero been such an enormous amount of tonnage under construction for the shipping trade as at present. Orders have been placed, or aro about to be placed, by different companies' engaged in the Australasian shipping .trade for fifty steamships, aggregating 361,000 tons.
