EEPOET ON RATES. By Teleerraph—Press Association—Oopyrifrht (Rec. May 6, 1:15 a.m.) London, May 6. The report of Lord St. Aldwyn (formerly the Unionist Minister Sir Michael Hicks-Beach) on the Board of Trade inquiry conducted by him into the question of the, new schedule Port of London rates (compiled by the Port of Loudon Authority) states that many of the ob-. jectors lo the rates showed an unnecessary want of confidence in the future action of the Port of London Authority, but he was satisfied that the rates were in very many cases, unreasonably high. Tho Board of Trade announco large reductions in tho schedule submitted to Parliament, in accordance with Lord St. Aldwyn's report.
