LODGE MEETING.
Th« quarterly session of the Star of Newtown Lodge, No. 24, 1.0. G.T., was held in St. Thomas's schoolroom, Newtown, on Wednesday evening. Br;>. Geo. Petherick, grand secretary, occupied the chair. One new candidate was initiated' into the--Lodge, having been drafter from 'the juvenile branch of the order. The following officers were" elected:—Chief Templar, Bro. P. J- Atkinson; ViceTemplar, Sis. Mrs. Allen; Supt. juvenile work, Bro. J. Patterson; Assistant.Supt. juvenile work, Sis. Miss E. Atkinson; secretary, Bro. Wm. Ingram; financial secretary, Bro. Geo. Lambert; treasurer, Bro. Geo. l'etherick; chaplain, Sis/ F. GreigjinaTshall, Bro. Duncan; deputymarshall,' Sis. Summers; guard, Bro. Howitt; sentinel,' Bro. Benson; reporter,, Bro. C. J. Atkinson; pianiste, Sis. D. Atkinson; registrar, Bro. Wicks. Bro. 'Leege, from the Egmont Lodge, New, Plymouth, brought greetings from his lodge and from the International Chief Templar. Bro. Ingram and Sis. Richards were presented with prizes recently won.' Appreciation was expressed by the lodge .of the valuable work rendered by Bro. Johnson, the retiring S..LW'., and lie was thanked for his services.
