Sydney, April 28. • On January 22 Mrs. Buckman, a farmer's wife, near Narrabri, gave herself up' to the police, stating that she had shot her husband dead. It was understood that her husband struck her. with a stick, and that she then resorted to firearms. . ■ j At her trial for murder, now concluded, the evidence disclosed that she was subjected to much ill-usage. A verdict of "justifiable homicide" was returned.
