By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Brisbane, April 28. .A marine inquiry regarding the wreck of Lever and Company's schooner Malekulai 130 tons, lost recently at Bampton Reef,'in tho Chesterfield Group, has been, opened. • -■' i '•'■ The captain attributed tho stranding of the vessel to the ship's chronometer being inacourate, and also to bad'steering by one of the native crew. The Marino Board decided to' place on record.its recognition of tho splendid behaviour of the captain in bringing the, Malekula's boat across from Bampton Island to Lucinda Point, on the Queensland coast, a perilous journey of 700 miles.
