LIVE STOCK SALES,
Messrs. Dalgety and. Co., Ltd., report having held their ■ fortnightly stock sale at Waipukurau; on April 26,- when- they offered a good yarding of sheep and cattle to a good attendance of the public. Prices were practically on a par with those ruling at. last: sale, . except for lambs, which' showed a slight advance. Quotations:— Best fat wethers, 13s. Bd. to. 145.; store wethers, 10s. to. 12s. 6d.,. according to oondition; forward ewes, 7s. 9d.: full-mouth ewes, 55. , 9d.; forward lambs, Bs. 4d.; storo lamb 6, 6s. 9d., 6s.- lid.; cull lambs, 2s. 4d. to 3s. sd. ' . Messrs. ; Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report:— At our Marton sale yesterday there was a fair entry of stock and a keen demand for good lambs and wethers. Empty ewes, 9s. 5d.; mixed lambs,, Bs., Bs. 6d. ( to 9s. 3d.; wether lambs, Bs. Id.; extra good ditto, to 9s. lid.j mixed age breeding ewes, to 10s. 5(1.; small mixed lambs, to 7s. 2d.; small ewe. lambs, to Bs.; small- two-tooth wethers, lls. to Us. 9(1.; fat and forward wethers to 145., 6d.; 15-month steers, £3. 2s. 6d.; ono two-year gelding, £13 10s.
