Sho arrived in the stream at 1 p.m. yesterday, and after medical inspection berthed at the Railway Wharf at 3.30 p.m. - She brings a fu!l cargo of coal, and after discharging about 2000 tons at this port will proceed to Lyttelton and Oamaru with the balance. Captain W. J. Ellis is in command of the Echunga, and ho has the following officers associated with him:-Chicf, Mr. J. M'Xay; second, Mr. H. Blair; third, l!r. A. M'Ruvie. Chief engineer, Mr. J. Hosking: second, Mr. W. B. Aitkcn; third, Mr. F. Storey; fourth, Mr. A. Sinclair. • HUIA, FROM KAIPARA. Yesterday's arrivals included the auxiliarv schooner Huia, from Kaipara. Sho left the northern port on April 19, aiid experienced fair winda until midway between Cape Eginont and Stephen's Island, when she ran into a stiff southerly gale. It was decided to run for Guard's Bask, and sho sheltered thero from noon on Sunday until Monday morning, when sho was again headed for Wellington. After a rough experience in the Ktrait,. she reached port yesterday, and berthed at King's Wharf. Sho brings a shipment of timber, part for Wellington and part for Lyttelton. Probably she will get away for the south to-aight. . ,
