LIVE STOCK SALES.

Messrs. Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., report:— At our Woodville sale yesterday there was a good entry of sheen and rattle, which was submitted to a largo attendance of buyers, practically all lines finding pur•ehasers. In cattle, fats wore well reprcsented and all lots sold, after keen competition. Fat. cows reached 105s. to 117s. 6d.; fat heifers, 104s. to Ills.; light beef bullocks, 113s. In sheen tho main entry comprised lambs, shorn mixed sexes selling to 7s. 9d.; inferior sorts, from 4s. 9d.; emptv ewes, 55.. A farm of 52J acres, offered on account of the estate of Mr. J. M. Campbell, was sold to Mr. John Harding at £27 ss. per acre, and a Quarteracre section to.Mr. Jas. Smith for £22. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., held ■ailoa at Wanganut -on April 20. and at Waverley on April 22:-The report states: -U Wanganui we yarded 2700 sheep and 1050 cattle. ' Buyers were present from all parts of the coast, and wo experienced a good demand for all classes, of both sheon and cattle. Mr. Hammond, of Lisinoro Station,. yarded some good linos .of bullocks and fat and forward cows, all of which were disposed of. the bullocks making up to £5 17s.' 6(1., and the cows up to £5 8s: Altogether, during the day we, sold upwards of 800 cattle'and 2300 sheep. At Waverley we yarded 1500. sheep and 240 cattle, and, with the exception of two small pens of cattle,-we had a total clearance. The yarding of sheep was largely comprised of good lines of wethers, for which, however, though, we emitted the lot, competition was not so brisk as it has been of late..
