' .'■ TAIUWEKA DELAYED.' Owing to the heavy.weather on the East Const, the Union Company's Tarawera will not arrive from Auckland, Gisbornc, and Napier until to-morrow. She is to continue the same evening for Lyttclton and Dunedin. NAVTJA, FKOM SUVA. Yesterday evening, the Union Company's Navua. arrived at Auckland from Suva, and after discharge of part cargo at the. northern port she comes on to Wellington. She in due here on Thursday, and-will probably leave for. Westport on Friday. i Timani is to be the first port of call for the s.s, Evandale, now on her way to New Zealand. Sho is to load wool and grain under charter to Mr. G. H. Scales. Captain E.. 11. Slentiford has been apI pointed secretary of tho Coastal Masters' Association at Auckland. I It is expected that tho Wairan and the Himitangi will both come off the 'Patent Slip this morning. The Poherua, which arrived yesterday from Greymouth, will leave for that port again to-morrow. When tho weather moderates, the. Ngaru, from Tonga Island, and the Htiia, from Kaipara, are expected to arrive in Wellington. On account of the heavy sea'prevailing at Napier, the Pederal-Houlder-Shirc liner Fifeshiro will not, be ablo to come on to Wellington with balance of Liverpool cargo for a couplo of days yet. For tho present,' the Union Company's tug Terawhiti will not return to Nelson in connection with the salvage operations of the Anchor Shipping Co.'s Kol, which capsized last month. Tho Anchor Shipping Co.'s Kaitoa will load for Nelson and West: Coast to-day. She will be followed by the Waverley, which Is due from Picton on Thursday. It is hoped to dispatch the Kaitangata for Wostport to-day, if the supply of railway trucks will allow of her discharging operations being completed. The shortage of trucks was still being felt yesterday. Ou Saturday tho Kotukn had to discharge 100 tons of coal into the hulks as there •wero no tracks to receive it. At Timaru and Lyttelton tho same complaints are made, and at tho latter port the Ennerdale has been delayed several days thereby. When the Moana, left Sydney for Wellington on Saturday, she had on board 127 passengers for Now' Zealand ports. Of:: these 72 are in the saloon and 55 are travelling steerage. : After being weather bonnd for. 6ome little time at Queen Charlotte Sound, the Government steamer ' Hinomoa reached Wellington yesterday morning. On Thursday sho will be engaged landing stores at Pencarrow and Somes Island, and on Friday morning she is to leave on the usual cruise of the northern lighthouses.
