At. the Police, Court] Palmerston, next Friday ; Ppwelka will bo brought •up on the'charges that were preferred against him prior, to- his escape from the gaol here. ■ On the following Monday he will bo brought forward on charges relating to matters which have happened since he escaped from Wellington. The.- stipendiary '• magistrate, has not yet fixed a date on. which the charge of. murdering Sergeant Maguirfl will be heard. Mr. Gilford Moore will appear for Powelka. ;
