Al a conference of the Manchester executive of the spinners and cardwages was unjustifiable,, and that the proposal of the Master Cotton Spin-, ners for a 5 per cent, reduction of wages was unustifiable, and that the acceptance of the reduction could not be recommended. , ■The masters will give notice of : the .reduction on May 5. The nnmber of operatives who will . be involved is 16,000. .
