The light is at present in a comparatively safe position, some fifteen foot higher than the old site, but there is every possibility of an early collapso of the Point itself, as the cracks in the ground, are slowly but suroly widening. Oaptain Waller, of the Wimmcra, which passed through to Auckland on Saturday, favours tho removal o{ tho light to Tatapouri Hill, more especially as it is coming from the north that ships are ill danger.
