HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.

' ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Wellington Hockey Association was held at the Y.M.C.A. last evening, Dr. H. C. Faulko, president of the association, in the chair.

After a brief discussion, the annual report and balance-sheet (particulars of wljich have already appeared in The Dominion) were read and adopted,

It was pointed put that the association should proceed cautiously in the matter of embarking upon expenditure in" respect of grounds over which it had no permanent tenure. The policy Should be to look to. the acquisition of grounds; under more favourable conditions of tenure than, they at present enjoyed.. Mr. Organ said that the association "grounds were in very much better ; condition than in previous 'years. He pointed out that, the association was at presont committed to an- expenditure .o£ JGHM .in. connection with tho projected visit"o~f-the* English team next year. He' hoped this amount would be guaranteed rputsitieitlie^general finances of tho-nssp-.ciation.
