There was a wild scramble' for rubber shares at'the Chartered Bank of India, who are the hankers for four companies whose prospectuses were issued yesterday. The bank was besieged for two hours by men, women, and hoys, pandemonium reigning inside, despite the cashier's ■ assurances that the lists had been closed a few minutes after opening. The 2s. shares of one company rose to 16s. during the day. .
