•At Great Yarmouth on a recent Saturday night a Church Army mission was opened at the parish church,' tho largest in England. There was a crowded congregation. The Bishop of Thetford commissioned tho special mission ers. A procession from the church to.the Town Hall was headed by forty torch-hearers, banners and choristers, and included the Mayor (who is a leading Primitive Methodist); the Town Clerk, and other officials. At tho inaugural meeting the Mayor said they had his prayers, his sympathies, and would sometimes have his presence. It gave him great delight to show his sympathy with the work. A fraternal message of goodwill was also received from tho Eev. S. J. P. Dnnman, the superintendent Wesleyan minister in Yarmouth. In summer, when the bat is out, A good eatoh is the ball; Well stopped! wo hear the people shout; Well stopped! cry one and all.
