That the recent contest for the Sayonara Cup' has .'had , a stimulating cii'ect upon-yachting is evidenced by 1 the fact that the Prince Alfred Yacht Club has already /issued a qhallonge to the Koyal Yacht Club of Victoria for a match next fioasan. Their nomination is Messrs. B. B. Sayer and F. Albert's Rawhiti, and since 'this yacht is undergoing on extensive -overhaul, it. is confidently expected that ■ she. will sail a much-improved boat next.season;' Another contest between.her' and Sayonara, should the Victorians again defend the, cup with this famous old yacht, should prove highly interesting.
