! Napier, April 17. A set of false teeth, much worn by the action of the sea, were found oa the beach near Awatoto tliis morning, and it is thought possible they may have belonged to Squire Wilson, a local hairdresser, who disappeared some time ago, ■ and was last seen going in that direction.

STEAMER strikes a wharf.

Napier, April 17. The steamer Wairuna, while berthing at the Glasgow Wharf this morning, ran into the structure, breaking two springer piles, a ferro concrete column, and some woodwork. The steamer had a portion of her port hawse-hole broken. Questioned as to the cause of the accident, the local manager of the Union Company said the AVairuna was to have berthed on the east side of the wliaxf, but was signalled to go to the west side, and while steaming slowly to the berth was caught by a strong westerly puff, and was carried on to the wharf.
