The Trafalgar ledgers have,: as a result of the appeal by the British and Foreign Sailors' Society, been purchased and given to the nation by Mr. T. J. Barratt, and will be added to the other relics on board the Victory at Portsmouth. The first ledger details the distribution of (ho X' 300,000 voted by Parliament after Trafalgar, Nelson's share being £18,517, and Captain Hardy's .£2389. Against Nelson's name are the letters, "DJ)."— discharged dead. ■
