.' The annual meeting of thovTVollingtoii Hockey, lleferees' -Association was held; last evening at Dr., Morpeth's ■ rooms,; Willis Street, when 'about•-•half .a. dozen members attended. Mr. .- Falconer: occupied the chairi The/following officers were- elected for tho ensuing-year :-Chairman, Mr. W. J.,organ ; a secretary was not appoint>ed,.the acting-secretary, Dr. Morpeth, bcing T asked to find someone willing to fill, the post; selection committee, Messrs, I Morpeth, Southwick, - and sectetary.. Mr;: Falconer suggested tho advisability, of referees' wearing a suitable cap or badge, and on the motion of Mr. Jones .it was decided that the chr/r----•man, Dr.; Morpeth, and tho secretary should attend to this matter.
Mr.' Biirley, Cbristchurch, 'was : reelected Wellington delegate to the New Zealand Hockey Referees' Association. !Mr:'- Eiinter. mentioned that nothing had-been done.last sensonin respect to the clubs providing "corner flags," and the Wellington Hockey Association will bo asked to insist upon this being carried out. ; The question of allowing a delegate to represent the referees at meetings eonducted by the- Hockey Association was again mentioned, and a letter will be forwarded to the latter body accordingly., ",:',.■ . . . .'...".- One new momber was elected.:' It was mentioned that there will be sufficient senior referees but inrospect to other grades nothing definite is yet. known. -. ; Motions'of thanks', were passed , for tho services of last year's officers, also to Dr. Morpeth for use of room, and tn AFr. Falconer for takine'tho chair.
