THE COMING OF THE COMET.
•'.-. ' ' ~~+ ■- --.■ ■.■ • ■ . SEEN AT AUCKLAND. (By Tolecraph.—Press Association.! Auckland, April 15. Mr. Stevenson, F.R.A.S., reports having seen Halley's comet about 5 o'clock this morning. It was seen through clouds, and the increasing twilight made observation difficult. Mr. Stevenson anticipates that it.will be a more conspicuous object in another week, as it is now rapidly approaching us. There is a possibility, he thinks, of the comet'B tail reaching to Venus about May 2, as the comet will apparently pass near that planet. Tho comet' is to the east of the planot Venus at tho present time.
