\ ■'.,;'- : ;■• FUNERAL TO-MORROW. ; : : The body of ffoe . late Sergeant 'Maguiire was conveyed by .rail from ■ '■, Palmerston to Wellington on Thursday ; afternoon for. interment. The funeral cortege from the Palmerston Hospital ,' to the railway station was followed by ■.:;■: the full force of the police now in Pal- -..'. ■' vmerston, about thirty, being present, in addition to other sympathisers. Prior •'•:■'■. to the body leaving the hospital there '■ . ■ was a short service there, conducted by ■ the Bev. Fathers Conolly and Qucaley. The bearers at the hospitalwere Inspectors Ellison and Wilson, Messrs. Roberts-and O'Brien (brothers-fn-law), Mr. W. Devine and Detective. Siddells. At the railway station Constable Maloney replaced Mr. Roberts. There were also present Mrs. Maguire, Mr. Maguirc (father of the deceased), and :. Mrs. , Beecham (sister-in-law). The member.s of the police force now in Palmerston placed a • beautiful wreath ■.v- upon the coffin, as a token of respect and esteem for their unfortunate com-. ■ ; : rade. ..' , ; -:'.' To-morrow afternoon the interment ; will take place at Karori Cemetery. '—-.- The ' funeral will leave the Tramway Hotel, . Nowtown, at :■'.'■ 1.45 p.m. for. St. Joseph's, Buckle i. .Street, where 'a service will be held; : '■■'■'' As many members of' the city police i force as can be spared from duty will i attend the funeral, and arrangements
