Arthur Bourchier is to have a new theatre in London situated in the Charing Cross Road, and ho hns let it bo known that he intends to play vaudevillo there in the intervals between tho regular dramatic seasons.. This entirely new departure for a theatrical manager, and is a precedent which is almost certain to be extensively followed. It is carrying tho war into the music-hall camp. Hitherto the halls have been allowed to' poach on the theatrical preserve without fear of retaliation! Now Mr. Bourchier, ind other managers, doubtless, will enter into active competition with them nt a time when they have been acoustomod to have tho amusement field entirely to themselves.
