MISSIONS TO-SEAMEN.

The Missions to Seamen Institute was crowded to the doors on Wednesday evening, when Hγ. P. Nathan provided an enjoyable concert. Mr. James Moore, the Missioner, occupied the chair, and the musical arrangements were in the hands of Miss K. Laivson, the following contributing items to the programme:— Pianoforto solo, Miss M'Beauj song, Miss Newnian; recitation, Miss P. Dix; violin solo, Miss Steen; song, Mr. T. Smith (s.s. ICia Ora); song, Miss Cameron; | song, Mr. NrDongall, (s.a.. tllimaroii); Tecitatitm, Miss M. Dix; song, Miss M'Tavish, Misses M'Bean and Dull acted as accompanists. Sir. M'Naughton gave several imitations in clever stylo, and popular". ehqrnsßS wei-B sung, by Iho audlenco, Miss Dall' pUying the accompanimenta, During a short Interval, the Misaloner delivered an earnest address on' the temperance question, taking tho words "Shipmates in Sunshine" for a subject, Eight men subsequently took the pledge. ■ A very amusing conundrum competition was niso held, and was won by sailors from ships in port, A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the host and performers at the conclusion, and light refreshments woro dispensed.
