At a meeting. of the committee of the league held night to'make final arrangements it was reported that a. very large number of .tickets had,been sold, and the social promised to be a'very successful one. There will be a musical programme, with cards and., dancing ■to follow. This is the first of;a series-of socials' that- the league intends to hold - in Wellington during the eeason. The boat is beautifully fitted up, and very comfortable, and oil this trip it: carries what is said to be the largest number of passengers who have over beeu carried, through the-Suez-Canal.
