HOCKEY.

WEDNESDAY ASSOCIATION. The fourth annual general meeting of the' Wednesday Hockey Association was held last evening at the Y.M.C.A.Kooins, Mr. J. Cj CusxcK being in the-chair. J.he annual report stated that the association had experienced a very successful 6eason, having had ten teams competing for the White Cup, which was won uy the Artillery A team, with Hui Mai, V as runners-up. , The association had received a visit from a team from' tho ( Manawatu Association, and also sent a team to Mast«rt»n to play against tho Wairarapa representatives. Tho allotment of hookey grounds by the City Council had prove! very satisfactory, and the association was now well provided with playing grounds, .■'

- The resignation of the Post and Telegraph Hockey Club was received, a number of their players having left tjio district, while' others aro playing in the Saturday series.

A hearty vote of' thanks was passed to the officers for their services during the season, and also to Mr.. C. J. Winder, A. George, E. Reynolds, and M. O'Kane; chairman, Mr. J, C. Ciisock (vc-electod); hon. secretary, Mr. H. S, Hunter; hon. treasurer, Mr. G. Haase; hon. auditor, Mr. W. Bead; selection and grounds committee, Messrs. Cusack, Hunter, and Haase. The date for receiving entries for this year's competition was fixed for Monday next, April 18.
