There, has been somo betting at 7 to 4 on Arnst. Excursions are ndvertised from Capo Town to the Zambesi. Regarding Arnst's proposal for a second mntcli with Barry on the Thames, Barry stated that no matter what the result of the Zambesi raco was, a return match for the championship on the Thames would be an event of considerable interest. He- was inclined to view the suggestion in "a favourable light, but would not express any definite opinion on the matter until he had taken the advice of Mr; 31acl;stafte, who has suppcrfod Barry'; from the day ho started racinj. "Barry stated that Arnst's sportemuulike letter' appealed to him, and he intended replying "in equally cordial terms. Air. Blacksfnft'e said he had read the letter with considerable pleasure. .
