DR. HENRY'S, MISSION.

Something liko 1500 people assembled at the Town .Hall yesterday evening in connection with the mission which is being conducted by Dr. Henry and Mr. Potts; ' The subject/of the evening's address was "A Great'.Man Who Lost ffis Urip," the speaker referring to the liio of- Samson. Dr. Henry dealt with the subject in a clear and vigorous- manner, laying special stress on "hack-sliding." Mr. Potts sang several solos, and ad : dressed .the gathering a simple but convincing manner. Yesterday afternoon Dr. Henry held a "quiet hour" at Wesley Church. To-day he will address a meeting at the Petone Workshops at 12.10, and at 12.45 he will be the guest of the ministers of" Petone and tho Hutt at lunch. This evening Henry will give another address in the Town Hall, x and to-morrow night a united prayer meeting will be held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms. ,A, men's meeting will bo held. at the Town Hall' on Sunday afternoon. Dr. Henry will speak on "The Slaughter of \'ounß Men," and Mr. Potts will sing "Sowing the Tares." . A rousing song service is promised. Special arrangements for next week include "quiet hours" on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons at St. John's Church. Tuesday will bo called "Church Day," and' all local churches will be asked to hold an hour's service in the forenoon. A great "young people's" demonstration will be held in the Town Hall next Friday afternoon.

Mrs. Henry (wife of the Missioner) will address a combined meeting of the Women's Christian Temperance Union in the Y.M.C.A. building this afternoon, at 3 o'clock. All women are cordially invited. .
