BOY SCOUT NOTES.

(By "Alert.") - " Kelburne and Mifamar troops met at Island Bay last Saturday, and made their way along the beachl to Haughton Bay. Here each scout collected shells; seaweed, etc., a book being offered for the best collection. Among the "finds," curiously enough, were a three-penny . piece, a camera bulb, a penny, a lead pencil, and a diminutive anchor, apparently of gold. Scout O'Neill won tho prize, with Scouts W. Haigh and Phillips close up. There were over a hundred specimens in some of the collections. -.-. ' Dr: R. Makgill, Scont Commissioner for the North Island, is expected, from Auckland this week." Scoutmaster Dallaston, from Pahiatua, is paying a visit to Wellington. It is reported from New Plymouth that the movement is making good progress in that centre. Arrangements have been made for tho Boy Scouts to attend the King's Theatre Pictures on Monday, April 18. Scouts must let their scoutmasters know by next Saturday of their intention of going. It is hoped to arrange for a special programme, including some scout pictures. Scouts will meet at the General Po'st Office at a quarter past sovon on Monday, April 18, and will march to the theatre.
