PALMERSTON POLICE COURT.

Williamson, was sentenced to six months' hard'.'labour, on a charge of obtaining ~M under false pretences. ■ The same prisoner was remanded to Wanganui on a charge of stealing £37 at. Stratford. •Another man of the same name was convicted, of stealing a portmanteau from a boardinghouse, and remanded for the Probation Officer's report.
