THE FALL'|N WAiHIS. HO CAUSE FOR IT IN THE MINE ITSELF. AN ASSTJEANOE BY THE COMPANY, lily Mesraph—Press Association.' Auckland, April 11. The continual weakening of Waihis on the Auckland share market during the last few (lays has created a good deal of apprehension among the public, especially those possessing shares is the mine. Inquiries made' at the office of the Waihi Gold Mining Company yesterday went to show that, as far as the mine itself is concerned, there is no reason whatever for the weakening tendency. There has been no fall in the assay values, the mine is keeping up its' output of recent years, and as a matter of fact the directors confidently anticipate another record output, amounting to something like £975,000, this year. The London market has not been-the causa of the drop, and the reason for the fall must be looked for locally. It was further stated that the public need have , no cause for anxiety, and tha,t, owing to tho soundness of tho mine, things muet eventually right themselves. LONDON QUOTATIONS.
