At Messrs. Dalgety and Company's Palmcrston North sale yesterday there was a good entry of sheep and a fair entry of cattle. The Arm report:—Sheen were in good demand, and practically all lines were sold under the hammer. .We auote: Small lambs, 4s. 3d. to ss. 4d.: rape lambs, 7s. Bd.; forward ewes, Bs. 6d. to Bs. 9d.; s.m. ewes, 9s. sd. to 10s. lid,; aEcd ewes, to 6s. lOd. Cattle: Weaner heifers. 28s. to 28s. 6d.; weaner steers, 275. 6d.; forward bullocks, £6 2s. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At our Palmerston North sales on Thursday all classes of stock met with keen competition, asd ■ a good yarding changed hands at satisfactory prices. Quotations: S.M. ewes, 9s. to 9s. 2d.; f.m. ewes, os, 3d. to Bs. 6d.; cull ewes, ss. to 65.; two-tooth ewes, 125.; mixed two-tooths, 10s. 2d. to 12s. 6d.; forward wethers. 13s:; forward ewes, 10s. Id.; cull lambs, 4s. 3d. to 4s. 10d-; forward cows, £3 7s. 6d.; storo cows: 31s. to £2 75.; weaners, 275. to 30s. At our Raumai sale, held on Tuesday, April 5, we had a large entry of sheep and a medium entry of cattle. All classeK of stock sold well, especially sheep, and we havo to report a total clearance with prices in vendors' favour. We emote:— Aged ewes, 6s. 5d., 6s. lid., to 10s.; twotooth wethers, 12s. 6d.; fat wethers and maiden ewes, 14s. 4d.; lambs, 35., 4s. B(i., Gs„ 6s. Id., to 7s. Id.; Lincoln rams, 225. Cattle: Forward cows, £3 lsl; springing heifers, £5 to £5,25. 6d.; weaner steers, 325. to 375.; aged gelding, £9.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—Sales have been held at Ifiiuitaugi, Kaumai, and Palraerston North. At each centre wo havo had good cutrics of all classes of stock, and have nan excellent sales. There has been a good demand for.sheep, and cattle have sold particularly well. We quote-Safe at lliraatangi: Sheep—Oull ewes, os. 6d.; medium iambs, 9s. Gd.; fat ewes, lis. 6d.: need rams, 6s. Gd. to 15s.
