Wedding in Sydney. A quiet wedding u;as celebrated at St. James's Anglican Church, Sydney, . on March 15, when Miss Myrtle Amelia Stace, third daughter of Mr. T. W. Stace, of /'Te Ma'tai," Pahnerston North, now residing at. Bunvood, Sydney, was married to Mr. A. Lee Wilson Tackaberrv, M.D., fourth con of Mr. Samuel. 13. Tackaberry, solicitor, Polk Count}', Texqs, U.S.A. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Sidney Marsdcn, M.A., in the presence of a small circlo of friends and relations. Tlio bride,, who was given away by her father, was beautifully gowned in an empire robe of white satin'oharmeiise with a court train and . an overdress, of silk ninon, artistically draped .a'iid • caught on one side with a heavy pearl ornament. The bodice was handsomely; trimmed with silk point lace designed and .worked .by iiie bride herself.. Witti- her embroidered veil ''ste v.oto a wreath of orange and myrtle blosl«nis. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet 'of. roses, and asparagus fern. Miss Linda Stace, sister of the bride, : wa.s the -only bridesmaid, and was becomingly. attired in an empire gown of pale blue silk, with trimming of Melines lace. Her hat was a black beaver, with a long ■white.ostrich plume. She wore a pretty turqu'oise brooch shell, the gift of tlie bridegroom, and carried a bouquet 6f the pink roses. The tiny nephew of the bride, Master Gordon Stace, from New Zealand-, dressed as little Lord Fauntelroy, made a picturesque page. The Eev. E. H. Webber, of Burwood, was best man. After the ceremony a reception and wedding breakfast was given at the A B C Cafe, when the bride and bridegroom received showers of congratulations, some' being cable messages both from New Zealand and America. • Mrs. Stace, mother of the bride, wore a gown of black and v:hite striped voile over white glace, and a black hat with long white plumes. Amongst the guests were Miss Stace (from New Mr. and Mrs. W. Epps, Mr. .and Mrs. C. W. Bannister, Miss Mabel Bannister (N.Z.), Mrs. G. M. Snelson (N.Z.), and Mrs. lanton; The bride went away in a myrtle. green channelize cloth costume richly 'braided with black, and a black beaver hat with gold galoon trimming. After a brief stay in the Blue Mountain district, Dr. and Sirs. Tackaberry will proceed to America.

Wedding at Blenheim. St. Mary's Church was the. scene of a popular wedding;■ on Tuesday morning, when Miss Winifred Keatiug,, daughter of tho late. Mr. J. M. Keating, was married to Mr. Caleb Frank Walker, son of the lato Mr. 11. T. Walker, Blenheim. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father- Holley, assisted by the' Rev. Fathers Clancy and O'Connell. Lady Ward gave a delightful little tea at Awarua yesterday as a farewell for. her sister, M rs.. Mr. and Mrs: Cameron, from Masterton, are staying at the Grand. Dr. and Mrs. A. L. 'Lewis, of Auckland, are staying at the Grand Hotel. Dr. Lewis arrived by the Sydney boat yesterday, and Mrs. Lewis came down from Auckland a day or two ago. Mts. Armstrong and Miss Speedy, from Hawkes Bay, and. Mr. and Mrs. J. Armstrong, from Dannevirke, are staying at the Grand. The Convalescent Home Trustees met on April sat the Town Hall. There were present: Mesdames Newman (in the chair), Brandon,. Moorhouse, A. Pearce, West, Ivnowles, Miss Coatcs, Mrs. Barron (treasurer), ■ and Miss E. Nathan (secretary). The matron reported th-ait ten patients had been admitted and ten discharged during the month. Gifts were received from Mrs. Snaddon and "Wellwisher." ' . Mrs. and Miss Elworthy arid Mrs. Jameson, from Timaru, arrived last night from a trip down ,the Wanganui River. They are staying at tho Grand Hotel.
