[The Turkish Cabinet in February decided in favour of tho adoption of the naval progranimo elaborated by RearAdmiral Sir Douglas Gamble, which involves an annual expenditure of ,£T500,000 for a period of eight years. It is believed that the programme provides for the construction of two battleships, three cruisers, and ten destroyers, most of which will probably be built in British yards;]
