As W outcome of the Factories Act etopping overtime, thereby curtailing their earning powers, the Chinese Cabinet Pieceworkers' Union of Sydney demanded an increase of wages. The masters granted an increase of 10 to 15 per cent. in wages f -with a corresponding increasorin the price of,the manufactured articles.
