Norris, secretary of the late Charitable Aid Bosrdj -presented a statement of that body's finances : for the year ending on' the previous, day. Ho explained that he had been enabled to do this by the courtesy of tho bank officials and the assistance .of his accountant. . : . '. .

' Members of.the board expressed their appreciation of the work that had been done, one member, remarking that it was a feat worthy of emulation by the Colonial Treasurer. The new board probably had its funds more nearly "in sight" than do' most local authorities.
