A severe censure was administered by the magistrate (Mr. Kerr) at the Polios Court this morning to a man charged with being found drnnk, and with procuring liquor while prohibited. The mam confessed that the craving for drink completely overpowered him, and asked that he be allowed to leave the colony to get work in the Australian back-blocks, fir. Krr referred to the numerous recent convictions against the prisoner, and, stated that his conduct had been absolutely disgraceful.
