Egyptian War, and took part in" the .battles of Kassassin and Tel-el-Kebir. .' Two ..years later "he accompanied Sir' Charles Warren's Bechuarialand; Expedition as" chief of its topographical department. 'Healso filled many important postsin connection with the Ordnance survey.
