ST. PATRICK'S COLLEGE OLD BOYS.

The annual" .meeting of St. Patrick's College Old Boys' Association was held at tho college last evening, the rector, Dr. Kennedy, S.M., presiding over a good assemblage of members. . The annual report and balance-sheet, which was adopted on tho motion of Mr. S. J. Moran, stated that in. presenting the seventh annual report and balancesheet, the committee feels , that a Very successful year has been passed. In the departure of the Rev. Father, Kcogh, the association, had lost a most enthusiastic president, whose personal influence has contributed in.no small measure to tho successful building up of. the association; and, indeed, to the. advancement of all. projects: for the. betterment of the college. , On behalf, of the association; tho committee had the. pleasure of welcomingthe Eov./Dr. Kennedy,- - the successor of the late rector,, to this city. Our "new president has lost little time in gettinginto touch with the affairs • of : tho association, and has shown in many ways his deep interest in its welfare. The, Hockey Club concluded a successful.season. The first eleven for a-long time remained unbeaten,: and finally finished well up in the championship. The club was represented in the junior hockey representative touring .- team by the selection of Messrs. J.- Quinn, IV Kyan', D. Campbell,, and the.Kev. F. S. Bartley. Ten new, members were elected during the year, the' total. membership now standing at .250. '..The finances of, the .association-are satisfactory,: though ; the number of outstanding subscriptions'is still very large. The credit balance for tho year stands at, approximately, £2s. .'The association's medal, donated, annually to-the; dux of the college, was won :this year by Master E. Mulgan. The .thanks of.tjie committeo.are .duo to. the following , gentlemen ' for special -subscriptions to the funds of the association:—Tho Eev. Father Venning, and Mr. Cyril Collins. In conclusion, the committee trusts that members, more particularly younger members, will continue to take p. lively interest in the affairs-of the association, and by rendering practical assistance to the executive, enable it to extend the activities of the association, and enlarge its sphere of usefulness. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—President, Eev; Dr. Kennedy; vice-presidents, Messrs. M. J. Crombie, T. Hodgins, A. H. Casey,. G. Harper, and Drs. M'Evcdy' and A. Butler; hon. auditor, Mr. W. R. S. Hieksdn. It was decided that the committee meet at the college, and draw, up a list of those Old Boys who have not yet joined the association, for the purpose of circularising them of the fact that the association was in existence, and pointing out the advantages to be derived "by be-, coming members. . A- suggestion was also made that the Old Boys should take a hand in assisting the college faculty at the annual sports of tho college, and that they be held in private grounds.. .■.'.-.'■.
