The manifesto declares that though tho last election was inconclusive regarding some questions, it is in-, cumbent on the Government to safer guard the financial interests of the country and national defence. BANKS AND INCOME TAX. London, March 25. Bractically all the banks are following the example of the Bank of England, and are refunding the income tax.
