Ho appealed to tho Methodists to make a protest to stop tho fight. . Sir Robert Perks is-one of the leaders of English Methodism. Ho organised the Methodist Twentieth Century Million Guineas Fund, all of which has been raised, and in 1902 was. instrumantal in securing the Westminster Aquarium site for Methodist headquarters. He is keenly interested in the Canadian canal scheme to run from tho Great Lakes to the St. Lawrence, greatly shortening the route- to Enropo. He was created a baronet in 1908. . 'Die contest is to take place at San Francisco on Independence Day. (July 4).
