The Registrar-General' 8 rei>orfc on th« vital .statistics of the principal, towns of New Zealand during the month of February, 1910,. gives the following death-rates per 1000 of population:— Auckland, 1.18; Wellington, 0.89 j Christchurch,' 0.72 ; Dunedin, 0.87. Of the total deaths, males contributed 130, females 103. Ninety-eight of tha deaths were of children under five years of age, being 42.06 per cent, of tha whole number; 86 of these were uiidea one year of ago. There wore 56 deaths of persons of 65 years and upwards.,
